Relevant knowledge for head office, the agency and retail
Modules for every role
We have developed specific modules for each of these roles, and we tailor the content and structure entirely to the needs of each client. Some sessions last 30 minutes, others six hours. Most take place online.
Client or agency administrators, for example, learn how to create users and customer groups, assign permissions, send push notifications or set up filter criteria. At head office, the focus is on campaigns and the processing of advertising cost subsidies. Agencies learn how to maintain the portal, whilst retailers practise how to customise promotional materials.
Some of our clients pass on this knowledge to their retailers via their own internal trainers or the marketing field team. Through a ‘train-the-trainer’ programme, we prepare them to identify the information retailers need to work on the portal and the questions that frequently arise.
Working confidently on the portal
For retailers, partners and branches, the training begins with an orientation. In the introductory module, they learn where to find which functions, how to maintain their master data and how to use the filter. Reports, transaction management and how to contact the helpline are also covered. After that, they move on to specific tasks. Using examples, participants design and book a printed item, an advert or an online banner. They then see where the order appears in the task management system. Further modules focus on orders placed via the shop and advertising cost subsidies. Here, we show retailers where to view their budget, remaining budget and expenditure, how to process and submit advertising cost subsidy applications, and how to filter out outstanding tasks.
Short sessions, clear topics
If a client is implementing the system for the first time or major changes are due, we recommend several short sessions. Participants then focus on a clearly defined area of responsibility in each session, such as processing advertising cost subsidies or maintaining master data. This ensures that more is retained than after a single marathon session.
Referencing in day-to-day work
Some questions only arise weeks after the training, for example ahead of a campaign that runs just once a year. For such moments, context-sensitive online help is available on request, which takes you directly to the relevant explanation in the manual, along with customised video tutorials lasting up to seven minutes. A typical topic: marketing planning for the new financial year, covering the key campaigns.
Sometimes the tutorials even cover the entire onboarding process: one of our clients got started without a single training session, using just 15 video tutorials.
Thought through from the very beginning
We support users at every stage of the roll-out, from the start of the project right through to well after go-live. Our aim is for every user to achieve what they set out to do quickly and easily, and to find the best way to do so for them. Ultimately, it is the people who work with a marketing management system who decide whether it works for them in day-to-day use. That is why we integrate training into the project at an early stage and tailor it to each role.
